ticTOCs passes 11,000 TOC mark

There are now 11,000 journal Tables of Contents (TOCs) in ticTOCs – where researchers keep up-to-date.

A new and improved version of the ticTOCs website will appear shortly – watch this space.

ticTOCs is part of the JISC Users & Innovation Programme.  A podcast talk with Lawrie Phipps, the U&I Programme Manager, is available.

ticTOCs and 21st century researchers

A paper, written by Simon Hodson, the manager of the Gold Dust project, has just been published about the Gold Dust and the ticTOCs projects. 

This paper, entitled RSS, current awareness and information overload: How two projects (ticTOCs and Gold Dust) are seeking to improve the information landscape for the 21st century researcher appears in Papers from the Next Generation Environments: Understanding needs, unravelling complexities and applying practice, Users and Innovation Programme Conference, April 2008 (pages 16-17).
